Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam reported no new COVID-19 cases on May 24evening, marking it 38 straight days the country has detected no new infections in the community.
The country has to date confirmed 325 COVID-19 infection cases, of them185 were imported ones and quarantined right after they entering Vietnam,according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention andControl.
As many as 15,412 people having close contact with confirmed patients orentering Vietnam from pandemic-hit regions have been quarantined, including 58at hospitals, 8,523 at concentrated quarantine establishments and 8,631 athome.
Up to 267 patients, or 82 percent of the total, have been given theall-clear while 58 others are undergoing treatment at medical establishmentsacross the country.
Seven patients were tested negative for the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2once and four others tested negative twice or more./.
