The Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital in Hanoi successfully performed an endoscopic surgery through the mouth to repair a patient’s orbital floor, announced the hospital on February 17.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam-GermanyFriendship Hospital in Hanoi successfully performed an endoscopic surgerythrough the mouth to repair a patient’s orbital floor, announced the hospitalon February 17.

In June 2018, the 31-year-old femalepatient was rushed to the hospital following a traffic accident, with her lefteye area being seriously injured.

She underwent the operation after a CT scanshowed that she had orbital floor fracture.

After six months, her eyes have completelyrecovered, marking the success of Vietnam’s first-ever blowout structureendoscopic surgery.-VNA
