Vietnamese and Lao tank-artillery forces are proposing to build on their achievements and promote training cooperation.
The statement was made by Lieutenant General Le Chiem, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, while receiving Head of the Lao Department of Artillery Major-General Vongkeo Vongphila in Hanoi on September 15.
Chiem noted that the two sides have actively enhanced collaboration in the field through delegation exchanges, cadres training, professional experience sharing, and preserving and repairing military equipment.
He hoped the pair would expand cooperative ties in the fields of their strengths, such as personnel training and techniques.
The official assured that the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army is creating the best possible conditions for the two countries’ tank and artillery forces to cooperate effectively in service of national defence and security.
This will also contribute significantly to the development of the friendship and cooperation between the two countries’ armies and peoples, he said.-VNA
