The two ministers briefedeach other about each nation’s situation, reviewed the armies’ friendlycooperation in recent years and exchanged views on regional andinternational issues.
General Thanh, who is aPolitburo member, welcomed the visit of Minister Douangchay Phichith, aPolitburo member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and DeputyPrime Minister.
He said the visit would help promote the special,traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the twocountries’ armies and peoples.
On this occasion, the Lao Defence Ministry delegation visited Da Nang City and several military units.
