Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia front chiefs meet outstanding students

The Presidents of the fronts of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam had an exchange with outstanding students from the three nations at the Vietnam National University in Hanoi on June 25.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Presidents of the fronts of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam hadan exchange with outstanding students from the three nations at the VietnamNational University in Hanoi on June 25.

Openingthe event, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee TranThanh Man stressed the necessity for the younger generation to keep the threecountries’ traditional solidarity.

Heurged the youth to spare no effort to foster their capacity and do togethermore for their homelands and the tri-lateral ties.

Presidentof the Lao Front for National Construction Saysomphone Phomvihane asked thestudents, particularly Lao students in Vietnam, to support one another inlearning.

Hethanked Vietnamese teachers for their assistance towards Lao students inVietnam.

Onbehalf of the participating students, La Thi Thu Hue, from the University ofLanguages and International Studies, showed her pride in the strong friendshipshared among Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Shepledged to work with her Lao and Cambodian peers to contribute to therelations’ growth.

Theexchange featured performances of signature music of the three nations. -VNA

Bac Lieu, Korean locality sign labour cooperation agreement

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
