Vietnam joins ICT conferences in Singapore

Representatives of the Ministry of Communications and Information and 23 businesses of Vietnam are participating in information and communications technology (ICT) conferences and exhibitions in Singapore from June 18-21.

Participants atCommunicAsia2013, EnterpriseIT2013 and BroadcastAsia2013 will experiencea showcase of the latest ICT developments and trends, broadcast,digital multimedia and entertainment technology industries.

At the opening ceremony on June 18, Yaacob Ibrahim, SingaporeanMinister for Communications and Information, said that this is Asia ’slargest ICT and media showcase of the latest infocomm and mediatechnologies and solutions.

The event drawsmore than 50,000 attendees from 2,000 companies of 56 countries aroundthe world. Over 350 industry experts will also come together at theconferences to share their knowledge and experience with delegates.

“CommunicAsia2013, EnterpriseIT2013 and BroadcastAsia2013 serve asa perfect platform for professionals from the various industries toexplore, network and create new relationships and opportunities thatwill benefit all parties,” said Stephen Tan, Chief Executive of showorganiser, Singapore Exhibition Services.

Fifteen Vietnamese businesses which are participating in theCommunicAsia and EnterpriseIT exhibitions include FPT InformationSystem, Mobifone and VNPT Global.

They areamong the 1,328 companies showcasing their latest products at the twoexhibitions, including Over-the-Top (OTT), cloud computing, mobileapplications and innovations, mobile broadband, LTE/4G, satellitecommunications, NFC and mCommerce.

The eightother companies from Vietnam are joining 708 foreign partners in theBroadcastAsia2013, which stages the latest updates across the entirebroadcasting and film ecosystem, from acquisition, production andmanagement systems to post production, distribution and delivery.

Theshow covers a multitude of technologies, including ConnectedDigital/SmartTV, Over-the-Top (OTT), Multi-Screen Streaming, DigitalMedia Asset Management and Storage.

Besidesparticipating in conferences and exhibitions, Vietnamese businesses willwork with partners from the UK, Australia, Malaysia and others onfurther cooperation.-VNA
