A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to thiseffect was signed in Tokyo on June 5 within the framework of Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc’s ongoing visit to Japan. It is expected to become a typicalproject for medical cooperation between the two countries.
Establish in 1981, ITEC is the first healthservice management consulting firm in Japan which aims to meet the drasticchanges taking place in the Japanese health care field.
ITEC President Johtaro Seki said the group willhelp its Vietnamese partner access the most cutting-edge medical solutions,adding that the complex is designed to become a five-star general hospital withleading doctors from countries with developed medicine and nurses trained inJapan.
TH Group Chairwoman Thai Huong said the 40-hacomplex will offer medical prevention, treatment and rehabilitation services.
Vietnamese and Japanese health sectors havesigned a number of cooperation agreements in universal health coverage, newcommunicable disease prevention, human resources development and healthequipment, among others.
Of note, under the Vietnam-Japan EconomicPartnership Agreement, since 2012, Japan has helped train many Vietnamesenurses. –VNA
