Hanoi, (VNA) – Vietnam is focusingon completing economic reforms and building a consistent, synchronous andmodern administrative regime to enhance governance efficiency, said PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The PM made the statement during areception for the Head of Switzerland’s Malik Research Institute, ProfessorFredmund Malik, whilst in Davos to attend the annual meeting of the WorldEconomic Forum on January 18 (Swiss time).

PM Phuc applauded the institute for itsactive cooperation with Vietnamese bodies and localities.

He called on the Malik Institute tocontinue effectively working on agreements signed with Vietnam, shareexperience and knowledge and help improve management capabilities and skillsfor Vietnamese officials.

For his part, Professor Malik detailed theinstitute’s cooperation activities in Vietnam, expressing his wish foraccelerated implementation of cooperation programmes and projects withVietnam’s ministries, sectors and research institutes.

The Malik Research Institute, founded byProfessor Fredmund Malik in 1984, is one of the world’s leading organisationsfor holistic general management, leadership and governance solutions.

In Vietnam, the institute is implementingjoint projects with the Ho Chi Minh National Administrative Institute and HaiPhong City on applying the systems thinking-based management model to urbandevelopment.

Also the same day, PM Phuc made a visit tothe renowned chocolate manufacturer Lindt in Switzerland.-VNA
