Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen XuanPhuc left for Davos, Switzerland on January 17 to attend the annual meeting ofthe World Economic Forum (WEF) that takes place from January 17 – 21.
The visit comes after an invitation of President of the WEFKlaus Schwab.
The PM is leading a high–ranking Vietnamese delegationincluding Minister-Chairman of the Government’s Office Mai Tien Dung; Ministerof Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh; Minister of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment Nguyen Xuan Cuong; and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui ThanhSon, among others.
Under the themed “Responsive and Responsible Leadership”, the meeting consistsof 300 discussions on various matters, including improving global governance, respondingto security instability and crisis, speeding up inclusive and sustainablegrowth, economic restructuring and social reform, and developing new industrialsystems and business models in the context of the fourth industrial revolution.
The event draws attendance of leaders of numerouscountries, international organisations and world-leading companies.
PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc will hold various bilateralmeetings with leaders of participating countries and development partners onthe sidelines of the meeting.-VNA
