Dung appreciated the WB’s support for Vietnam in general andhis ministry in particular, especially in the fields of labour, employment, socialwelfare, vocational education, and labour market improvement over the pastyears.
The WB official said that the Vietnamese Government and Ministry ofLabour, Invalids and Social Affairs have effectively carried out social welfarepackages amidst complex developments of COVID-19 outbreaks.
She affirmed that in the coming time, the WB will shareinformation and ideas about the social security system, provide technical assistance tothe ministry in reforming the pension system, strengthen cooperation with the private sector inbuilding a labour market information system and promote non-cashpayments in implementing social protection.
In the coming time, the ministry sets the task of makingsustainable development policies so that everyone has the opportunity toparticipate in and enjoy socio-economic achievements, and reduce the gapbetween the rich and the poor, especially in ethnic minority areas.
It will also issue social welfare policies to supportworkers, especially those in industrial zones and labourers in the informal sectors in the time tocome.
Regarding a digital transformation project, the ministerasked the WB for technical support to carry out digital transformation in vocationaleducation, job change, non-cash payments, and to build thenational database on social security until 2030./.
