Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam on September 13 evening confirmed three more imported COVID-19 cases whowere put under quarantine in the central province of Phu Yen following theirarrival.

Thepatients arrived at Cam Ranh airport on September 10 on the flight VN5062 fromRussia. They tested positive to SARS-CoV-2 at Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang onSeptember 13, reported the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Preventionand Control.

Asof September 13, Vietnam recorded a total of 1,063 COVID-19 patients, 691 ofthem were locally-transmitted.

Thesame day, eight patients were given the all-clear from the virus, includingfive in Da Nang and the remaining in Quang Nam, raising the total number ofrecovery cases to 918. There have been 35 deaths related to the disease.

Asmany as 36,299 people who had close contact with patients or entered frompandemic-hit areas are under quarantine, including 504 at hospitals, 17,703 atother establishments and 18,092 at homes.

TheHealth Ministry has called on residents to wear masks in public places, regularlywash hands with soap, avoid crowd gatherings, and install Bluezone app toreceive infection risk alerts./.
