As many as35,390 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or entered Vietnamfrom pandemic-hit regions are being quarantined nationwide, according to theNational Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
TheSubcommittee for Treatment said up to 902 out of the 1,060 patients have madefull recovery.
Among theactive patients, 16 tested negative for coronavirus SAR-CoV-2 once, 17 twice and21 three times. Meanwhile, four patients are in a critical condition and face ahigh risk of death.
The country has sofar recorded 35 deaths,mostly of them were elderly people with serious underlying diseases.
The ministry has called onevery Vietnamese person to follow the message “Mask-Disinfectant-KeepingDistance-Avoiding crowded place-Health declaration” to live safely with thepandemic.
The ministryrecommended each citizen make a health declaration on the NCOVI app andinstall the Bluezone application to be warned of the risk of COVID-19 infection./.
