– Vietnamese teaand coffee enterprises are exhibiting their products at the International Coffee & Tea Industry Expo 2018, which opened inSingapore on March 22.

On display at the expo are techniques forplanting, processing and preserving tea and coffee and materials and products fromcountries around the world.

The three-day event, which is expected to welcome 11,000visitors, serves as a venue for exhibitors to seek customers and establish partnerships.

Participants are focusing on highlighting their unique characteristics in makingcoffee and tea, and tea and coffee enjoying culture in their countries.

Tran Thu Quynh, Vietnamese Commercial Counsellor in Singapore emphasised the significanceof the event for Vietnamese tea and coffee firms, saying it helps them promotetheir products to international friends.

In the framework of the event, seminars and discussions with experts will be held,aiming to update enterprises on development trends, as well as difficulties andchallenges facing the regional tea and coffee industry.

The globaldemand for coffee is projected to increaseto 10 million tonnes by 2020. The Southeast Asian region isforecast to become a promising market for tea and coffee enterprises. -VNA
