Vietnam’s 25 tourism destinations were honoured in six categories, including ASEAN Clean Tourist City.
Localities included Thue Thien-Hue province, Quy Nhon city in Binh Dinh province, and Vung Tau city in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
Numerous renowned hotels around the country won the ASEAN Green Hotel award, such as Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Majestic Saigon and Salinda Resort Phu Quoc Island.
The Thang Long Imperial Citadel and Duong Lam ancient village were also honoured.
Such international recognition demonstrates determination and effort as well as the quality of tourism services in localities and establishments, reflecting the strong recovery in Vietnam’s tourism sector./.
