According to information releasedat a seminar on January 6 in the locality, recent archaeologicalexcavations in the area disclosed various kinds of architecturalmaterials dating to between the late 13th century and the 14th century.
Excavatorsunearthed traces of a foundation of architectural constructions,brick-courtyards, tiles and dragon- and stag-shaped decorations.
BuiMinh Tri, Director of the Centre for Imperial City Research said theresults of the excavations have provided a significant database to provethe exact position of Lo Giang palace.
According to “Dai Viet suky toan thu” (The Complete History of Dai Viet), the Lo Giang ImperialPalace was also called the Kien Xuong Palace under the reign of KingTran Hien Tong (1319-1341).-VNA
