Da Nang (VNA) – The 7th Fleet Bandof the US Navy and Vietnamese artists offered people and visitors in thecentral city of Da Nang with singing and dancing performances at Bien Dong Parkon March 7 evening.
US officers and Vietnamese artists performedEnglish and Vietnamese songs accompanied by modern and traditional musicalinstruments.
The exchange began with the song “Welcome to DaNang” performed by local singers and dancers to greet the US officers.
Later, the two sides charmed the audience with“Hello Vietnam” and “Noi vong tay lon” (The Great Circle of Vietnam) sung inEnglish and Vietnamese, along with many other songs and dances.

Officers of aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson,missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain, and missile destroyer USS Wayne E.Meyer areon a trip to Da Nang from March 5 to 9. This is the first time an aircraftcarrier of the US has visited Vietnam since the end of the Vietnam War overfour decades ago.
During the stay, they visited several socialwelfare centres for the mentally ill, Agent Orange victims, orphans anddisadvantaged children.
They also met lecturers of the University of DaNang to share marine environmental protection measures, visited the fire policedivision, and exchanged experience in first aid provision and disasterresponse.-VNA
