Hanoi (VNA) – The Investigation Police Department for Drug-Related Criminals under theMinistry of Public Security said on March 28 that an urgent arrest warrant hadbeen issued for the leader of a huge trans-national drug ring connecting withthe seizure of 300kg of drugs recently.
The wanted man is aChinese national named Wu He Shan, born in 1963.
The police said WuHe Shan and his accomplices, including Huang Zai Wen (from China), Thao A Do,Thao No Pao and Ly A Vu (from Vietnam), brought drugs into Vietnam and thentransported to another country.
Legal proceedingshave also been launched against the four accomplices for investigation into theillegal trading and transport of drugs.
Previously, on March 20, Thao ADo, Thao No Pao, and Ly A Vu were caught red-handed when they handed over 300kgof drugs to Huang Zai Wen at Hashan company, located in Binh Tan ward of Ho ChiMinh City. The three transported the drugs by trucks from Bo Y border gate inthe Central Highlands province of Kon Tum to Ho Chi Minh City.
The drugs were supposed to beloaded into a container under the camouflage of PP plastic granules to be sentto Taiwan (China).
Expanding investigation into the case, thelocal force worked with police in the Philippines to seize an additional 276 kgof drugs on March 23 in latter nation. The drugs were sent by Hashan companyand declared as PP plastic granules. The consignment left Cat Lai port on March13 and reached North Manila port on March 19.
Informed by the Vietnamese police, thePhilippine side was able to seize the drugs which were packed like tea bags andcontained in 12 large bags.–VNA
