Hanoi (VNA) – Mudslidesand flooding triggered by typhoon Tembin killed 208 people and left 164 missingin southern Philippines as of afternoon of December 24, two days after thestorm swept through Mindanao island.
According to the local police, morethan 40,000 people have fled to evacuation camps while the InternationalFederation of Red Cross reported that the tropical storm has displaced morethan 70,000 people.
The remote village of Dalama is thehardest-hit where over 100 houses were wiped out by flash floods.
