Bangkok (VNA) – A fire broke out at an apartment building onPhetchaburi road in Bangkok’s Ratchathewi district on April 3, killing at least3 people and injuring over 60 others.
Two out of the three died victims were identified to be Thainationals, reported the Bangkok Post newspaper.
The third one was thought to be a Vietnamese.
According to Pham Quang Hoa, a Vietnamese witness, there areat least 18 Vietnamese people living in the building, and nine of them arebeing hospitalised due to suffocation.
However, he was unable to say whether there was a Vietnameseamong the dead victims.
The fire happened at about 2am in an electric wiring duct onthe fifth floor of the 14-storey building.-VNA
