Thanh Hoa has beenaccelerating its promotion activities to develop its tourism image,introduce opportunities for tourism investment, and create new toursattracting visitors from both traditional and new markets.
Tours that connect with popular destinations of Hanoi, Ninh Binh andcentral southern provinces, for example “Journey to Vietnam’s Capital”and “World Heritage Journey”, are also promoted.
Inaddition, the province has invested in upgrading its infrastructure,particularly roads to key tourism sites, in an effort to contribute to asuccessful National Tourism Year.
It has focused ondeveloping local accommodation places to add to its current 672facilities offering 14,000 rooms, including calling for investment inthree-star hotels and above and resorts.
Thelocality expects to have the capacity of 16,000 rooms by the openingceremony of the National Tourism Year, which is scheduled for March, toserve an estimated 5.5 million tourist arrivals.-VNA
