The Supreme Court of Thailand on April 10 upheld the verdict of 33 years and four months in prison against four defendants who staged a bomb attack outside a beauty salon in Bangkok in May 2013.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Supreme Courtof Thailand on April 10 upheld the verdict of 33 years and four months inprison against four defendants who staged a bomb attack outside a beauty salon inBangkok in May 2013.

The convicts placed a self-made bomb in agarbage bin at Ramkhamhaeng street on the evening of May 26, 2013, killingseven people and causing damage property worth about 402,000 THB (12,900 USD)to surrounding kiosks and buildings.

In 2015, the Thailand’s Criminal Court hadimposed a 50-year jail term for murder attempts and possession of prohibitedexplosives on the defendants. The Court of Appeals reduced the verdict to 33years and four months in jail in June 2016.-VNA
