Hanoi (VNA) – A bomb explosion in southern Thailand, on September 22 killed four soldiers and woundedsix people including a civilian.
The bomb exploded when an army vehicle carrying a group of soldiers was onpatrol in Pattani province.
Previously on September 14, two bomb blaststargeting an army patrol in Thailand’s southern province of Yala, killing onesoldier and wounded 20 other people, including two civilians.
The prolonged religious conflicts since 2004 have provoked daily violence inthe Thai southern provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat over the past 10years.
Attacks in the region have killed over 7,000 people so far.-VNA
