Hanoi (VNA) – Former Prime Minister ofThailand Yingluck Shinawatra, on June 16, rejected speculation on ThaksinShinawatra’s connection with a suspect allegedly involved in six bombingattacks in Bangkok.
The rumour came after a wall clock withThaksin’s image was found in the suspect’s house.
According to Yingluck, it was normal for herelder brother, who is also a Thai former PM and has lived in exile since 2008,to have admirers.
She stressed that Thaksin and the Pheu ThaiParty would not encourage the use of violence among supporters.
Thai authorities have arrested and identifiedthe suspect as Wattana Pummares, 61, who previously worked for the ElectricityGenerating Authority of Thailand as an engineer.-VNA
