Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam confirmed 10 new imported COVID-19 cases from6am-6pm on November 3, reported the National Steering Committee for COVID-19Prevention and Control.
Eight of them returned from Russia on Flight VN5062 which landed in Van Donairport in northern Quang Ninh province on October 31. They tested positive forSARS-CoV-2 while in quarantine.
The two remaining are under quarantine and treatment at General Hospital of BacNinh province. The two returned from Angola on Flight VN8 arriving at Van Donairport on October 20.
As of November 3 evening, Vietnam recorded 1,202 patients positive toSARS-CoV-2, 691 of them were locally-transmitted.
The sameday, four patients were given the all-clear, raising the total number ofrecovered cases to 1,069.
Amongpatients under treatment at medical establishments, 17 tested negative for thevirus once, six twice and five others thrice. There are no patients in criticalconditions. The death toll remains at 35.
As manyas 14,775 who had close contact with patients or entered from pandemic-hitareas are under quarantine; 174 of them are at hospitals, 13,327 at otherestablishments and 1,274 at homes.
Vietnam has so fargone through 62 days without local transmissions, with pandemic outbreaksbasically under control./.
