Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam confirmed 12 more imported COVID-19 cases from6am-6pm on November 2, reported the National Steering Committee for COVID-19Prevention and Control.

Three of them are under quarantine and treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi’s outlying district of Dong Anh, two atKhanh Hoa Hospital of Tropical Diseases, and the remaining at the Hoa Binh provincial General Hospital.

As of November 2, Vietnam recorded 1,192 patients positive to SARS-CoV-2,691 of them were locally-transmitted.

The same day, two patients were given the all-clear,raising the total number of recovered cases to 1,065.

Among patients under treatment at medical establishments, ninetested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, seven twice and six others thrice. There arenot any patients under critical conditions now.

As many as 14,775 who had close contact with patients or enteredfrom pandemic-hit areas are under quarantine; 174 of them are at hospitals, 13,327at other establishments and 1,274 at homes.

Vietnam has so far gone through 61 days without localtransmissions, with pandemic outbreaks basically under control./.

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
