Nghe An (VNA) – Young Vietnamese expatriates on July 14 visited thecentral province of Nghe An – the homeland of late President Ho Chi Minh who foundedand led the Vietnamese revolution to victory – as part of activities of theVietnam Summer Camp 2018.
In Vinh city, 120 young overseas Vietnamese from 29 nationsand territories paid tribute to the late President at his statue. They thenvisited Kim Lien relic site in Nam Dan district.
On this occasion, participating youths visited and granted10 gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, war invalids and Agent Orange/dioxinvictims in the locality.
Initiated in 2004, the Vietnam Summer Camp has attractedabout 2,000 young people from various countries and territories.
This year’s camp which lasts until July 25 features a bigprogramme of activities across 11 localities from the North to the South.
Together with the opening ceremony at the Temple of HungKings, the closing event will be held in Buon Ma Thuot city, the CentralHighlands province of Dak Lak.
The programme also includes visits to historical and cultural relic sites inHanoi and the provinces of Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri,Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam, Kon Tum and Dak Lak.
Participants also engage in charitable activities in thecentral provinces of Nghe An and Quang Nam along with exchanges with domesticyouths and overseas young entrepreneurs.-VNA
