The Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang is calling for investments in eight agricultural development projects from 2016-2020.
They include a farm to produce high-quality rice varieties, a cow-feed factory and a dairy plant.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lam Van Man said that the locality is designing policies to attract more enterprises to these projects.
To develop agriculture sustainably, Soc Trang is focusing on restructuring the sector and accelerating rural development.
It also prioritises investments in increasing production value, speeding up agricultural modernisation and developing strong sectors to help improve local living conditions, especially those of the Khmer ethnic group.-VNA
