Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – SingaporeanPrime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrived in Kuala Lumpur on May 9 to meet hisMalaysian counterpart Mahathir Mohamad.
PM Lee was the second foreign leader -after Brunei’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah - to meet Mahathir since he was sworn inas Malaysia's seventh prime minister on May 10, after his Pakatan Harapan (PH)coalition won the May 9 general election.
In an official tweet, the Malaysian PM saidthe two leaders had a 30-minute talk about bilateral relations.
PM Lee also met PH presidential councilmember Anwar Ibrahim together with Deputy Prime Minister Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.-VNA
