Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Morethan 2,000 engineers and bachelor degree holders graduating fromuniversities attended the Global Samsung Aptitude Test (GSAT) held in Hanoi on June20.
The exam included threebasic sections of quantitative reasoning, logical reasoning and visualthinking. The exam is part of the recruitment process for universitygraduates for all Samsung Group companies across the world.
This year marks 10years of the large-scale recruitment exam in Vietnam, with nearly190,000 applications, about 60,000 candidates participated in the GSATround and almost 14,000 employees were recruited from this exam.
Choi Joo Ho, President ofSamsung Vietnam, said: “This year, in the context of the well-controlledCOVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam, we are delighted that today's GSAT event is stilltaking place on a large-scale as planned. We are committed to complying withthe Vietnamese Government's regulations and guidelines on pandemic preventionto ensure the safety of all candidates taking the exam."
Samsung said itprioritises finding, nurturing, and developing high-quality humanresources. It organises large-scale recruitment activities to prepare resourcesfor the company's development plans and to help tackle the youthunemployment problem in Vietnam due to the impact of the disease.
In addition to recruiting,Samsung Vietnam has also implemented other talent training and developmentactivities such as organising Samsung Talent Programme, awarding scholarships,operating Smart Library projects, Smart Schools and Samsung Tech Institute./.
