Hanoi (VNA) - National Assembly deputies adopted a resolution on the 2016 socio-economic development scheme during their plenary session in Hanoi on November 10.
Under the chair by NA Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the deputies heard a draft report collecting feedback on the draft resolution, presented by member of the NA Standing Committee and head of the NA’s Committee for Economic Affairs Nguyen Van Giau.
The full text of the draft resolution was delivered by Vice Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Economic Affairs Nguyen Van Phuc.
Later, Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs Ksor Phuoc gave an account of the legal enforcement on land use and management at State-owned farms and plantations from 2004-2014.
Thirty-five lawmakers voiced their opinions on the realities of land use and management, incentives for ethnic minorities, financial policies for forest protection and development, and how to reshuffle farms and plantations.
They also called for clarifying responsibilities of relevant authorities and raising public awareness of land laws.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat took the occasion to clarify several matters concerned.
On November 11, legislators are due to adopt a resolution on State budget estimates for 2016 and discuss the draft revised Maritime Code.
In the afternoon, they will look into the draft Law on Fees and Charges.-VNA
