- National Assembly deputies on November 5 heard a number of reports relating to the ratification of a protocol amending the WTO Agreement establishing the World Trade Organisation (WTO), as part of their ongoing 10th session.

The documents include President Truong Tan Sang’s proposal on the ratification of the protocol, Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung’s description of the protocol, and head of the NA Committee for External Relations Tran Van Hang’s verification report on the approval of the protocol.

The legislators also gave opinions on a report on feedback on the draft Hydrometeorology Law.

They focused on the explanation of norms stated in the bill, prohibited activities, the protection of hydrometeorology works, the national system on hydrometeorology forecast and alert, and the rights and obligations of organisations, agencies and individuals in providing hydrometeorology service, among others.

In the afternoon, NA deputies discussed in groups the bill on Signing, Joining and Implementing International Treaties, as well as the ratification of the protocol amending the WTO Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organisation.

On November 6, they are to sit on a plenary session discussing differing views pertaining to the draft revised Code of Criminal Procedures.-VNA
