They defeated 14 otherteams after 18 fixtures during the three-day qualifying round in DaNang city, which concluded on April 5. The winners were the machinesthat could best perform certain tasks.
Qualifiersin Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City will pick 32 out of 160teams for the final round from May 5-11 in the central province ofKhanh Hoa.
The final winner will join theAsia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon), scheduled to take place inIndia this August.
The ABURobocon is an Asian Oceanian College robot competition foundedin 2002 by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.
Over the past three consecutive years, Vietnamese teams have finished second in the ABU Robocon competition.-VNA
