Reference exchange rate up 9 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set the reference exchange rate for VND/USD at 22,144 VND per USD on December 16, up 9 VND from the rate on the day before.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the reference exchange ratefor VND/USD at 22,144 VND per USD on December 16, up 9 VND from the rate on theday before.  

Withthe current trade band of /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate for commercial bankis 22,808 VND and the floor rate, 21,480 VND per USD.  

Theopening hour rates at commercial banks saw slight fluctations.

BothVietcombank and BIDV raised their buying rate by 30 VND to 22,700 VND and theirselling rate by 20 VND to 22,770 VND for one USD.

Eximbankbought one USD for 22,680 VND, up 20 VND and sold one USD for 22,780 VND,unchanged from December 15.

Techcombank increased its buying rate by 10 VND to 22,670 VND and its sellingrate by 30 VND to 22,790 VND per USD.-VNA
