Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,004 VND/USD on April 23, up 8 VND from the day earlier.

With the current trading band of /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied bycommercial banks for the day is 23,694 VND/USD and the floor rate is 22,313VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw light fluctuations.

As of 8:15 am, Vietcombank and VIDB listed the buying rate at 23,165 VND/USDand the selling rate at 23,265 VND/USD, up 10 VND from the previous day.

Techcombank maintained the same rates as on April 22, at 23,155 VND per USD(buying) and 23,255 VND/USD (selling). - VNA
