Reference exchange rate further reduced

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,472 VND/USD on April 10, a reduction of 3 VND from the rate on the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The StateBank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,472 VND/USD onApril 10, a reduction of 3 VND from the rate on the previous day.  

With the current trading band of+/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is23,150 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,706 VND/USD.  

At the beginning of the day, therates listed at major commercial banks were on the down trend.

Vietcombank cut both rates by 10VND, listing the buying rate at 22,755 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,825VND/USD.

The rates were the same at BIDV,and also down 10 VND both from April 9.

The rates listed at Vietinbankwent down by 9 VND, with the buying rate at 22,755 VND/USD and the selling rateat 22,825 VND/USD. -VNA
