The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,443 VND/USD on March 8, down 10 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank ofVietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,443 VND/USD on March 8,down 10 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is23,116 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,772 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at majorcommercial banks also showed a declining trend.

Vietcombank cut both rates by 5 VND, listingthe buying rate at 22,720 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,790 VND/USD.

The rates listed at BIDV wentdown by 8 VND, standing at 22,720 VND/USD (buying) and at 22,790 VND/USD(selling).

Meanwhile, the rates listed at Vietinbank droppedby 49 VND to 22,676 VND/USD (buying) and 22,746 VND/USD (selling).-VNA
