Quang Binh tourism recovers from sea environmental incident

Despite it only being the beginning of the travel season, the central province of Quang Binh has welcomed numerous tourists, showing signs of recovery from last year’s Formosa-caused sea environmental incident.

Quang Binh (VNA) – Despiteit only being the beginning of the travel season, the central province of QuangBinh has welcomed numerous tourists, showing signs of recovery from last year’sFormosa-caused sea environmental incident.  

According to data from theprovincial tourism sector, local three – star and above hotels receivedconsiderable numbers of bookings in the first quarter of this year.

The number of tourists who bookedrooms for the April 30 – May 1 holiday filled 70 – 90 percent of capacity ofthe hotels by mid-April.

Quang Binh province has takenmeasures to attract more visitors, with a Dong Hoi – Quang Binh culture andtourism week taking place during the April 30 – May 1 holiday with variousactivities such as street festival, cuisine festival and boat racing.-VNA
