The Presidentexpressed his delight that leaders of the two countries have visited each otherregularly, helping to unceasingly strengthen and develop the bilateraltraditional friendship.
The two countries have paid heed to intensifying defence-security cooperation,especially defence industry, logistics and military medicines while speeding upnegotiations on an agreement on the transfer of sentenced persons and anagreement on mutual protection and exchange of information, he said.
He also noted the two sides’ maintenance of political consultations at deputyministerial and department levels of the two foreign ministries and theirsharing of information and experience relating to cooperation with other countries.
He emphasised theprogresses the two countries have achieved in their economic, trade andinvestment partnership, and expressed his hope that Mongolia will make it easyfor Vietnam to increase its export of farm and aquatic products, processedfood, consumer commodities, machinery and home appliances to the country whileMongolia could ship processed meat, textile and garment materials, minerals,and footwear to Vietnam.
The President suggested the two countries step up political dialogues at alllevels and boost people-to-people, cultural, educational, artistic, and sportexchanges to further promote mutual understanding; organize market researchtours for businesses; and enhance cooperation in energy, agriculture, andpharmaceuticals and medicines.
Regarding regionaland international issues, he suggested the two sides continue coordinating atmultilateral forums, like the UN, ASEM, ARF, and more, affirming Vietnam’sreadiness to support Mongolia’s connection with other ASEAN member countries.
The Mongolian guestbriefed President Quang on the outcomes of his talks with Minister of PublicSecurity To Lam, stressing that Mongolia wants to have stronger cooperationwith Vietnam in national security.
He expressed his belief that in 2018, the two countries will sign theagreements that were discussed and reach consensus on the safeguard of nationalsecurity.
Built on thetraditional friendship, mutual trust and understanding, Mongolia wants to boostits economic and trade ties with Vietnam to bring the bilateral ties to a newheight, he said.
On the occasion, he conveyed the invitation to visit Mongolia from President KhaltmaaBattulga, who is Chairman of the National Security Council of Mongolia to hishost. President Quang accepted the invitation and then asked the Secretary torelay his invitation to visit Vietnam to President Khaltmaa Battulga.-VNA
