– Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on March 19 held a meetingwith 10 winners and 10 young prospects of the Vietnam Outstanding Youth FacesAward 2016, during which he lauded their talent, creativity as well as desirefor making contributions to the country and society.

While highlyevaluating the youngsters’ products, ideas and startups, the PM held that theseare useful to the society and country with practical and applicable values andthat entering a university is not the only way to success, while disabilitycannot prevent a person from obtaining outstanding achievements in all fields.

PM Phucaffirmed that the Party, State and Government will make every effort and createall optimal conditions for young people to promote their creativity and contributemore to the cause of national construction and defence.

The PMurged the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Fund forVietnamese Young Talents to continue proposing specific measures to honour and supportyoung talents.

TheGovernment leader also requested ministries, agencies and localities,especially the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, to pay more attention to youngtalents and help them further develop careers and make greater contributions tothe country.

FirstSecretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Le QuocPhong said that since the award was launched 21 years ago, 220 young talentshave been honoured in various categories, including study, scientific research,creativity, business and management, security and order, defence, culture andart, sports and social activities.

At themeeting, the young talents also gave some proposals, including integratingstartup instructions in schools, more support from the Government foryoungsters’ research activities. They also asked for assistance in pursuingfurther education and training abroad.

An awardceremony is scheduled to take place on March 19 evening. The awardees will alsojoin various activities, including a tour to Hung Kings’ Temple in Phu Thoprovince and Tay Thien district in Vinh Phuc.-VNA
