Tokyo (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phucleft Hanoi on early October 22 morning to attend the coronation ceremony ofJapanese Emperor Naruhito from October 22 to 23.

He is accompanied by Minister-Chairman of theGovernment’s Office Mai Tien Dung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le HoaiTrung, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam, and his assistant Bui HuyTung.

Crown Prince Naruhito ascended the throne as the126th Emperor of Japan on May 1, starting the Reiwa era.

His coronation ceremony is expected to beattended by leaders and officials from more than 190 countries andinternational organisations.

Earlier, right after Emperor Naruhito had cometo the throne, Vietnamese leaders sent congratulations to him./.
