PM arrives in Beijing for second Belt and Road Forum

Beijing (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived at the Beijing CapitalInternational Airport of China on the morning of April 25 to attend the secondBelt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF), which takes place fromApril 25-27.

Welcomingthe PM at the airport were leaders of Beijing, the Chinese Ambassador toVietnam Xiong Bo, leaders of China’s Foreign Ministry and Vietnamese Ambassadorto China Dang Minh Khoi.

TheVietnamese PM is scheduled to have talks with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, pay acourtesy call to General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC)Central Committee and President Xi Jinping, and meet member of the CPC PolitburoStanding Committee and Secretary of the CPC Central Committee’s Secretariat WangHuning.

PMPhuc will attend the BRF’s opening and the welcoming ceremony for heads of delegations,as well as three discussion sessions of the forum. The first session will focuson promoting connectivity to seek new growth motivations, the second on thestrengthening of policy resonance and building of closer partnerships, and thethird on promoting green and sustainable growth for implementing the UN Agenda2030.

ThePM will have some bilateral meetings with leaders of attending countries, andmeet Chinese businesses in infrastructure, energy, technology and finance.

OnApril 25, he will visit the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing and meet theVietnamese community in China.-VNA
