The ongoing 12th meeting of the 11th Party Central Committee on October 9 continued to centre on personnel preparations for the next tenure.

Participants scrutinised the Political Bureau’s presentation on the nomination of candidates for the 12th Party Central Committee, which will be elected at the 12th National Party Congress in early 2016.

Party officials also discussed the Political Bureau’s report on personnel preparations for the Bureau and the Party Secretariat along with key positions from the sixth National Party Congress to the time prior to the 12th National Party Congress.

They also suggested some matters in the preparation of personnel for the Party Central Committee, the Political Bureau and the Secretariat and key positions of the 12th tenure between now and the 14th meeting of the 11th Party Central Committee.

The same day, the officials worked in group to examine the Political Bureau’s report on important works it has solved since the 11th meeting and other reports.

During the week-long meeting, which started on October 5, participants are scheduled debate the 2015 socio-economic performance, the socio-economic development plans for 2016, personnel preparations for the 12th Party Central Committee, and elections of the 14th NA and People’s Councils at all levels for 2016-2021.-VNA
