– Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hosted a reception fora delegation from the Indonesia-Vietnam Friendship Association led by itsPresident Budiarsa Sastrawinata.

Budiarsa Sastrawinata saidthat the association, with the engagement of many Indonesian Government officialsand businesses, has organised many cooperation activities with Vietnam in variousfields.

Over thepast years, the association has coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy inIndonesia and Vietnamese partners to hold numerous events that contribute topromoting the connection, friendship and cooperation between the two countries,he said.

He hopedthe Party General Secretary and relevant agencies of Vietnam continuesupporting the association’s activities in the coming time.

Party GeneralSecretary Nguyen Phu Trong showed his delight at the growing Vietnam-Indonesia ties,while pointing to high cooperation between the two countries.

He saidthat during his meetings with the Indonesian leaders, the two sides agreed topromote affiliation in all fields both bilaterally and multilaterally. The twosides also concurred to encourage and back people’s organisations to strengthentheir partnership, he added.

The Partychief also lauded activities of the Indonesia-Vietnam Friendship Association,expressing his hope that it will continue operating effectively to connectpeople, businesses and localities of both sides.

He said hebeliefs that Budiarsa Sastrawinata and the association will continue workingclosely with the Vietnamese side for stronger, more dynamic and effectivecollaboration between the two countries.

On theoccasion, the Indonesia-Vietnam and the Vietnam-Indonesia FriendshipAssociations signed a cooperation document on organising major events betweenthe two countries, and activities to foster economic, culture partnership andpeople-to-people contacts between the two countries.-VNA
