Hanoi (VNA) – Party GeneralSecretary Nguyen Phu Trong offered incense to commemorate late President Ho ChiMinh at House No.67 in Hanoi on January 26 on the occasion of the traditionalLunar New Year and the 87th founding anniversary of the Communist Party ofVietnam.

The Party chief expressed his gratitude to thegreat Vietnamese leader who devoted his whole life to the cause of nationalindependence and the happiness of people.

Talking with the relic site’s officials andstaff, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said he was glad to know that moredomestic and international tourists visited the site, which reached 2.8 millionin 2016.

He wished the officials a New Year of goodhealth and prosperity.

Located within the President Ho Chi Minh relicsite, House No.67 was named after the year 1967 when it was constructed. Thisis where Uncle Ho worked and passed away.

Thefoundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam by President Ho Chi Minh on February3, 1930 was an important historical event and a turning-point in the history ofthe Vietnamese revolution, marking a milestone in the country’sdevelopment.-VNA
