Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Tran Dai Quang paid respect to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh relic site on September 1 on the occasion of the 71st National Day and 47th death anniversary of the late president (September 2).
Burning incense on the altar dedicated to the late President at House 67, where President Ho lived during the last 15 days of his life and breathed his last, the Party chief told staff members at the relic that it is important to not only study but also follow the example of the nation’s great leader.
The same day, President Tran Dai Quang and Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh also offered incense in commemoration of the late president at House 67.
The Ho Chi Minh relic site in the compound of the Presidential Palace in Hanoi sees millions of visitors each year. It comprises the Mausoleum of the late President, a museum, the Stilt House built for the President, along with several facilities, including House 67, which served as a venue for many meetings of the Politburo during the wartime.-VNA
