Singapore (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, incollaboration with the ArtBlue Studio, opened a painting exhibition featuringthe beauty of Vietnamese women on March 8, on the occasion of 109thInternational Women’s Day.
Head of ArtBlue StudioPhuong Nguyen said that on display are nearly 40 paintings by 10 artists.
Vietnamese AmbassadorTao Thi Thanh Huong stated that the exhibition is of significance as it is heldon the occasion of the International Women’s Day.
Through this event,the embassy wants to introduce the achievements of Vietnamese women and promotethe country’s artwork to international friends, she added.
Ambassador of theEuropean Union to Singapore Barbara Plinkert said she was impressed with theexhibition as she felt she had a greater understanding of Vietnamese womenthrough the paintings that depicted their daily lives.
At the event, visitorswere also treated to Vietnamese traditional dishes. –VNA
