Hanoi, (VNA) – The Overseas Party Organisation held a conference of representatives for the 2015-2020 tenure in Hanoi on November 2 and 3.

The conference discussed and adopted several important documents, including a report reviewing the implementation of tasks in the 2010-2015 tenure and outlining orientations, tasks and solutions for the next term, a report on the performance of the Overseas Party Committee in the just-concluded tenure and the summing-up of feedback to the draft documents to be submitted to the 12th National Party Congress.

Addressing the conference, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Le Hong Anh acknowledged the good work of the Overseas Party Organisation.

At the same time, he stressed that the heavy tasks for the organisation in the years ahead, which require unity, high sense of responsibility and great efforts of all Party members in order to fulfill the tasks, thus contributing to the successful implementation of the resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and the country’s external relation policy in the era of international integration.

The conference agreed that in the 2010-2015 period, the Overseas Party Organisation has fulfilled its missions in leading and guiding the operation of its Party chapters and members while coordinating with relevant agencies to conduct research on and propose main policies and measures on Party building and mass mobilization work abroad.

Party committees of Vietnam’s representative agencies abroad led the agencies in performing well their political missions, contributing to the achievements of the diplomatic sector in particular and the external relation work of the Party and State in general, enhancing Vietnam’s position in the international arena.

The Party committees also led the way in mass mobilization work, gathering and uniting Vietnamese communities abroad in supporting the homeland, as well as in promoting Vietnam’s culture, land and people to international friends.-VNA
