HCM City (VNA) – The first nine out of 12Vietnamese tourists injured in a recent bomb attack in Egypt arrived atTan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon of January 1.
According to initial plan, only eight persons in good healthconditions would fly home first, but one more was deemed to be fit enough to gohome after health checkups.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City-based travel agencySaigontourist, which organised the seven-day Egyptian tour for the group, theremaining three tourists are being treated at the Sheikh Zayed SpecializedHospital. They are recovering well and are likely to go back to Vietnam thisweekend.
At a working session between Nguyen Huu Y Yen, GeneralDirector of Saigon Tourist, and relevant sides, it was agreed that thebodies of three tourists killed during the incident will be brought home on January2.
The Vietnamese tourists were victims of a bombing in Egypt onDecember 28. Their bus was hit by a bomb at 18:15 (local time) on the way tothe airport to return home after a trip to Giza pyramids, concluding their seven-daytour organised by Saigontourist. Three Vietnamese tourists and one Egyptianguide were killed in the bombing.-VNA
