Hanoi (VNA) – Party members and people from all walks of life are expecting that the new 12th Party Central Committee will continue promoting the spirit of unity, democracy and renewal to help the country grow further.
Tran Phu Cuong, head of the Study Encouragement Society of ward No.5 in southern Ca Mau province’s Ca Mau city, said that this 12th National Party Congress is really promoting the spirit of unity and democracy.
The congress has demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and selected a new-tenure Party Central Committee whose members are competent, dare to think, dare to take action and dare to take responsibility.
He expressed his belief that after the Congress, under the leadership of the Party General Secretary, the Political Bureau and the Secretariat, the new Central Committee will continue leading the country to overcome difficulties and challenges, and take advantage of opportunities to make the country develop sustainably in the fields of politics, economics, and socio-culture.
Lawyer Do Phap from the central city of Da Nang affirmed that the voting for the new set of leaders reflected democracy, publicity and transparency.
Vietnamese people are pinning high hopes on the new competent leaders who put the nation’s interests on top, and stay ready to safeguard the nation and its sacred sovereignty, in order to lift Vietnam to a new height, he stated.
Meanwhile, Dau Thi Minh, a retired official in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum, said that the structure of the 12 th Party Central Committee has been reformed. The average age of its members is younger, which will motivate the Party and make it more dynamic and creative.
Van Huu Chien, President of Da Nang city’s Union of Science and Technology Associations, hopes the Party will carry out more suitable policies to boost the development of the scientific and technological sector.
He also hoped for measures to connect Vietnamese scientists inside and outside the country to form a strong knowledge economy.
Meanwhile, Director of Da Nang city’s Health Department Ngo Thi Kim Yen expressed her wish that the Party and State will pay more attention to investing in a synchronous and effective medical equipment system, and carry out more practical measures to support health services in far-flung areas in order to ensure ethnic minorities also benefit from the State’s health-related policies.-VNA
