Hanoi(VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) Le Ba Vinh presented his letter of credence to Kim Yong-nam, Presidentof the Presidium of the DPRK’s Supreme People’s Assembly, in Pyongyang onOctober 18.
Accepting the letter,Kim congratulated Vinh on his new mission and recalled the tradition offriendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Vietnam, nurtured by PresidentKim Il Sung and President Ho Chi Minh, that has been fundamental to expandingbilateral ties even today.
He reiterated hiscountry’s consistent stance towards developing relations with Vietnam, sayinghe believes that with concerted efforts made by the two sides’ leaders andpeoples, bilateral ties can be further reinforced and deepened. Kim added thathe has faith that Ambassador Vinh will contribute to efforts.
Vinh thanked Kim forhis time and affirmed that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam alwaystreasure the traditional friendship with the DPRK. He vowed that he wouldendeavour to bolster the development of relations between the two nations.–VNA
